Last evening, we attended a John Edward event in New Hampshire.  We plan to talk about our experience during our show this weekend.  The part that I wanted to comment on now is about energy.  Going into the evening I was making a point of energetically being open.  I was calling in spirits and calling in the divine, hoping that a passed family member or friend would come through.  The evening was incredibly moving and interesting (talk more about it later) and at the end of the evening I was exhausted, not tired but exhausted.  It ended at approximately 9p and I could not stay awake once I got to my hotel room.  This morning it was not easy to wake up and I felt teary at times and low energy.

I realized while I was driving to work that my fatigue and emotions were likely related to opening my energy field up and inviting energy in.  The room was filled with approximately 250 people.  Most if not all were hoping to contact someone who had passed - highly emotional.  There were some very touching and emotional moments that we all observed as a group.  Over the years (Dr. Judith Orloff’s book ‘Positive Energy’) I have learned to protect my energy from drain by calling a protective energy field around me.  I will do this when I am Christmas shopping at the mall, sitting in the IMAX theater watching Avatar, or sitting in a therapy session with a client in distress.  Once I realized that my fatigue and sad feelings were likely due to opening up my energy (and allowing other people’s energy in - intuitive empath), I began meditating ‘I breathe in positive energy, I breathe out negative energy.’  Five to ten minutes later I felt great.  Several hours later all is still good.  We have the ability to change our energy, change our mind, change our emotions in a matter of minutes, with lasting affects.  We are powerful.

Sincerely - Amy
