November 28th 2009, Dr. David Curry, APRN, joined Connect.  David began by explaining the anatomy of the GI tract.  He then described the job of each part.  Once we had established what the GI tract consists of and then the role of the various parts in digestion, David discussed what some common and not so common problems may occur.  We began by discussing GERD/heartburn and ended talking about issues with gluten.  To hear the discussion please click one of the links below.

November 21st 2009, Karen Grace Kassy, Life & Health Intuitive and Author of ‘Health Intuition: A Simple Guide to Greater Well-Being’, joined Connect.  Karen discussed everyday day examples of intuition and how to improve your intuition through practice.  She addressed how to tell the difference between intuition and emotion and much more.  Look for Karen’s new book on relationship intuition.

November 14th 2009, Lama Willa Miller, author of Everyday Dharma:  Seven Weeks to Finding the Buddha in You, joined Connect.  Willa defined Buddhism, discussed her own spiritual journey, and reviewed various Buddhist concepts.  The concepts included: the middleway, nirvana, emptiness, karma, impermanence, nonself and more.  She also provided a definition of meditation and discussed why it is do valuable.  Willa will be at the Burlington Vermont Barnes and Noble December 8th at 7pm.

November 7th 2009, Sandy Morningstar, Body-Centered Therapist, joined ‘Connect’ at the studio to discuss what it means to Accept life and events versus Resisting them.  Producers Andy McMichaels and Sean McVeigh joined the discussion as this related to the Fort Hood Tragedy.  Greater discussion of the Fort Hood tragedy continued and we were joined by caller Mark.  Next week Lama Willa Miller will join us to discuss her book Everyday Dharma:  Seven Weeks to Finding the Buddha in You.
